A more thoughtful stay, one small action at a time.
Comfort and responsible hospitality can go together. During your stay, a few simple choices can help reduce unnecessary energy use, water consumption and waste — without compromising your experience.
Four easy things make a meaningful difference.
You do not need to change your trip. Just keep these habits in mind whenever practical.
Responsible travel starts with everyday choices.
At Le Ciel Hospitality, we believe sustainability begins with small, thoughtful actions. Our goal is to encourage practical habits that can reduce resource use and waste while keeping the stay comfortable and enjoyable.
These practices are adapted to each property. Recycling systems, building facilities and local infrastructure can differ, so we encourage guests to use the options that are actually available at their accommodation.
Easy habits for a greener stay.
1 · Conserve energy
Turn off unnecessary lights, air conditioning and electronics when not in use. Unplug chargers when practical.
2 · Use water carefully
Take shorter showers, turn taps off when not needed and let us know if you notice a leak.
3 · Make use of natural light
Open curtains and blinds during the day when comfortable, reducing the need for artificial lighting.
4 · Reduce single-use items
Use reusable bags, bottles or containers where convenient and avoid unnecessary packaging.
5 · Sort waste where available
Use recycling or waste-separation facilities provided by the property or building. Availability varies by location.
6 · Support local businesses
Local markets, restaurants and service providers can help keep more value within the surrounding community.
Small actions can support a better environment and a better stay.
- Protect natural resources. Thoughtful use of water, energy and materials helps reduce unnecessary pressure on local resources.
- Reduce avoidable emissions and waste. Lower energy use and less unnecessary waste can help reduce environmental impact.
- Support healthier surroundings. Cleaner, more efficient practices contribute to better-maintained spaces and communities.
- Keep hospitality efficient. Responsible use of utilities and supplies helps avoid unnecessary costs while preserving guest comfort.
- Encourage shared responsibility. Simple habits can influence how owners, guests and service providers think about everyday operations.
What Le Ciel is working on.
Across the properties we manage, where appropriate and where facilities are available, we encourage responsible cleaning and maintenance, refill systems for selected amenities and cleaning products, reduced unnecessary single-use packaging, reuse of serviceable linen and furniture, and waste separation where local systems allow it.
Our practices continue to evolve with each property’s facilities, operating model and local context. We prefer practical improvements over broad sustainability claims that cannot be demonstrated.
Thank you for taking part.
You do not need to do everything perfectly. Even one or two thoughtful choices during your stay can help. We appreciate guests who treat the property, resources and local surroundings with care.
